Join our Adult Learn-to-Skate Program and enjoy a friendly, supportive environment. This class is perfect for complete beginners or anyone coming back to the ice after some time away.
If you’re new to skating or want to build confidence and improve your technique, our classes help you learn the basics at your own pace with the Aussie Skate™ curriculum.
🕒 Session Details
When: Saturdays
Time: 7:30 am to 8:45 am
• 15-minute warm-up + 1-hour structured lesson.
All skill levels are welcome:
✔ First-time skaters
✔ Returning adults
✔ Those wanting to improve technique
Lessons focus on balance, control and confident movement on the ice.

This program follows the nationally recognised Aussie Skate™ progression system (Levels 1–10), covering:

Cost: $35 per session. Pay at the front desk. No booking is required.

During the School Holidays, the Adult Learn to Skate Classes will continue over the break, but only as Casual/ Drop-In Tickets

This class is ideal for adults who want to:

✔ Prepare for other ice sports or social skating
No prior experience necessary.
⛸️ Useful Tips Before You Arrive

Please arrive about 10 to 15 minutes early for skate fitting.

Wear long pants and warm layers.

Please wear socks when using hired skates.

Goggles/gloves recommended for extra confidence.

We include skate hire in the session cost.
Appropriate warm-up helps you get the most out of your lesson.

Freestyle Figure Sessions FAQs
Who can attend freestyle sessions?
Freestyle sessions are for figure skaters who hold Aussie Skate Level 1 or higher and have their own figure skates.
Can hockey players attend freestyle sessions?
No. Freestyle sessions are reserved for figure skating training only.
Can Skate School students attend freestyle sessions?
Yes. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, Skate School students may use the ice from 3:30 pm – 4:45 pm as part of their program warm-up. Then followed by their Sakte School Class until 5:30 pm
Do I need my own skates?
Yes. Skaters must wear figure skates during freestyle sessions.
Rental skates are not permitted unless approved by a coach.
Do I need a coach to attend freestyle sessions?
No. Skaters may practise independently. However, many skaters choose to work with a private coach to improve their technique.
