  • Public Skating Sessions

    Enjoy ice skating at the Olympic Ice Skating Centre in Oakleigh South. Public sessions run weekly across weekdays and weekends, with no booking required — simply purchase tickets at the front desk. Skate hire is included, and penguin aids support beginners. Dress warmly and arrive early during busy periods.

  • Birthday Parties

    Celebrate your child’s birthday with a fun ice skating party at the Olympic Ice Skating Centre. Packages include skate hire, a dedicated host, beginner games, reserved seating, food and drinks. Penguin aids support younger skaters. Weekday and weekend options available.
    Minimum numbers apply — book early as dates fill fast.

  • Learn to Play Ice Hockey

    Join ice hockey at the Olympic Ice Skating Centre in Oakleigh South. Our NLHA Adult Ice Hockey Classes run structured Friday night terms for beginner to intermediate players, combining skill development and game time. Junior Ice Hockey Programs build skating ability, confidence and core hockey fundamentals in a fun, supportive environment.

  • Learn to Ice Skate

    At the Olympic Ice Skating Centre, our programs create a clear pathway from beginner to confident skater. Skate School Classes follow the nationally recognised Aussie Skate™ levels, building balance and control. SilverBlades offers relaxed adult sessions with coaching and practice time. Adult Learn to Skate Classes guide adults through Levels 1–10 in a supportive environment.

    Saturday Night Disco Skate brings laser lights, lively music and a fun party atmosphere to the ice.

FAQs

Skate Sizes

The smallest skate we have is a youth size 7 (25 Euro/size 8.5 US), and the largest skate we have is an adult size 14 (48 Euro/size 14 US).

How cold is it inside the rink?

The temperature can range from 10°C - 15°C, but you’ll warm up quickly once you start skating.

What to Wear at the Rink

We recommend dressing in layers, as you will warm up as you skate and move. Long socks are a must, as they provide extra protection for your feet.

Protective Equipment

We don’t provide protective equipment, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Do I need to book?

No online booking is required for our public sessions. Admission tickets can be purchased at the front desk.
