D.C Hybrid Performance Camp
Prepare with purpose. Train with intent. Start the season ready.
The D.C Hybrid Performance Camp is designed to elevate young players beyond basic skill work and properly prepare them for the upcoming season. This camp bridges the gap between development programs and game environments by combining high-quality on-ice training, structured game concepts, and targeted off-ice preparation.
This is not just about skating more; itβs about arriving at the season confident, conditioned, and game-ready.
π§ On-Ice Performance StructureOn-ice sessions are structured to reinforce habits that translate directly into games:
- Skating efficiency (balance, posture, edge use at speed)
- Puck control under pressure
- Stopping, starting, and directional changes at game pace
- Spatial awareness, spacing, and decision-making
- Small-area games to simulate real hockey situations
- Competing for pucks while maintaining control and composure
Players are grouped by age and ability, allowing coaches to challenge players appropriately while maintaining strong development standards.
Off-Ice Hybrid Performance TrainingOff-ice sessions are intentional and hockey-specific, designed to support what happens on the ice:
- Movement quality and coordination
- Balance, agility, and body control
- Core stability for skating posture
- Introductory strength concepts (age-appropriate)
- Focus, listening skills, and routine building
These sessions help players return to the season physically prepared, not just technically skilled.
